THE MISSING PIECE: WHY KNOWING ISN'T ENOUGH

Let me shoot straight with you - I've been where you are. After three failed marriages, a stalled acting career, and racking up over $70K in debt (twice), I knew something was fundamentally broken in my approach to life. I was that guy who could tell you EXACTLY what you should do to fix your life while my own was in shambles.

I thought if I just learned ONE MORE TECHNIQUE, everything would click.

But here's what nobody tells you about transformation:

The more you try to "fix" yourself, the more broken you feel.

Each new method creates another set of rules, another identity to maintain, another CEO in your brain giving contradictory orders. No wonder we feel fragmented!

Here's the paradigm shift that changed everything for me:

What if nothing is actually wrong with you?

The breakthrough came when I realized that every single "problem" pattern in my life was actually serving a purpose. My body and mind were trying to protect me in the only way they knew how.

The key wasn't fighting these patterns or forcing them to change. It was something far more radical:

Complete acceptance of what is, followed by curious exploration!

This realization led me to develop the PURPOSE Process—and breathPLAY—a precise method that helps you:

  • Locate exactly where beliefs are stored in your body
  • Release the energy that keeps these patterns stuck
  • Integrate the wisdom they contain
  • Create permanent neurological and physiological change—in minutes, not months

The secret isn't adding more knowledge—it's releasing the resistance that prevents your natural state of flow and power.

Okay, enough talk (reading). Let's do it.

The 15 Minute Pattern Liberation Technique

The PURPOSE Process

Here's where the rubber meets the road. I'm going to walk you through a simplified version of the process that's transformed thousands of lives.

First, let's identify a specific pattern that's holding you back.

Maybe it's:

  • "I'm not good enough" every time you try something new
  • The urge to sabotage relationships when they get too close
  • Procrastination whenever you face an important project
  • The resistance to fully showing up in your business or making that sales call

Whatever it is, I want you to think about that pattern right now. Really try and bring it back up. What did it smell like? What did it look like? When it's good and worked up, take a few slow deep breaths in through the nose and let it go out of your mouth and notice.

Summary of First Directions:

  1. 1.Name the problem clearly (e.g., anxiety before presentations, chronic shoulder pain, fear of rejection)
  2. 2.Rate the intensity (0-10 scale)
  3. 3.Locate where you feel it in your body (Chest? Stomach? Throat?)
  4. 4.Notice the quality of the sensation (tight, heavy, hot, cold, sharp, dull, etc.)
  5. 5.Identify when it typically shows up

Most approaches would tell you to fight this feeling. We're going to do the opposite.

THE 5-STEP PURPOSE PROCESS (SIMPLIFIED VERSION)

STEP 01

Step 1: AWARENESS - Map It

  • Close your eyes and breathe fully. Feel the sensation in your body.
  • Notice its location, size, temperature, texture.
  • Don't judge it—just observe with curiosity.
  • Say to yourself: 'This is happening. This is curious.'

STEP 02

Step 2: ACCEPTANCE - Welcome It

  • Take a deep breath directly into the sensation.
  • Instead of resisting, welcome it completely.
  • Say to yourself: 'I allow this to be exactly as it is.'
  • Notice what happens when you stop fighting.

STEP 03

Step 3: CURIOSITY - Explore It

  • Ask the sensation: 'What are you trying to tell me or show me?'
  • Wait for the response without forcing it.
  • Then ask: 'What purpose do you serve?'
  • Listen with genuine curiosity, not judgment.
  • Take a few more breaths and notice where the sensation or any feeling in the body.

STEP 04

Step 4: EXPRESSION - Release It

  • Ask: 'What needs to be expressed that hasn't been?'
  • Allow any emotion, sound, or movement to emerge.
  • Don't censor or control—just let it flow.
  • Notice the shift in energy as expression happens.

STEP 05

Step 5: INTEGRATION - Rewire It

  • Ask: 'What's available to me now that wasn't before?'
  • Feel the new space or freedom in your body.
  • Breathe into this expanded awareness.
  • Bring the original emotion or pattern back. Notice how your relationship to it has shifted.
  • Ask: 'Who is the creator of this thought, feeling, sensation?'
  • NOTICE any new information in the body. Breathe.

Let's go even deeper.

BONUS: Polarity Integration

Because every issue has a polarity. Something is good, something is bad. Light/Dark. Anger/Happy. Silence and Expression.

Bring into your body and mind something you want to feel or have instead of the feeling or thought now.

Example: I am sad. The opposite or polarity might be happy.

To gain even more clarity, ask:

  1. 1What does this problem or emotion protect me from?
  2. 2What does this problem or emotion give me? (secondary gain)
  3. 3What thought or emotion do I want instead?
  4. 4Identify the two opposing forces (the polarity)
  5. 5Name both poles clearly

PS: Who would you be if these thoughts or emotions didn't exist?

Example Polarity Discovered: SAFETY (staying quiet keeps me safe from judgment) vs. EXPRESSION (speaking up lets me be seen and contribute). The problem is the oscillation between these two needs. OR: I want to feel happy, but I am sad.

Phase 4: Polarity Integration

Purpose: Neutralize the opposing forces by seeing them as one.

  • Take a moment. Feel the feeling, and notice where in your body it is.
  • Then stop and feel Expression (or the opposite feeling).
  • If you feel sad, I want you to FEEL sad. Bring the story into full multiplex cinema style and feel it. Notice where it sits.
  • NOW amplify it. See if you can make the feeling so big it takes over your entire body, the entire space you are in.
  • Now let it go. Now feel the opposite. If it is happy, repeat.
  • Keep switching back and forth until they go blank or they dissolve. Keep noticing where in the body these appear.

Phase 5: Somatic Release

Purpose: Release the stored trauma and tension from the body.

  • Return to your own lovely body.
  • Notice if it has changed (often it softens after polarity integration)
  • Give the body permission to release (shake, cry, yawn, stretch, etc.)
  • Use breath to facilitate release (deep exhales, sighs)
  • Continue until the sensation reaches 0-2 on the intensity scale
  • Notice the new feeling that emerges (often peace, lightness, spaciousness)

Phase 6: Identity Reconstruction

Purpose: Create a new identity to replace the old limiting one.

  • Identify the old identity (e.g., "I am someone who must be perfect or stay silent")
  • Ask: Who would I be without this identity?
  • Create a new identity statement (present tense, positive, embodied)
  • Test it: Does this feel true? Does it feel expansive?
  • Anchor it in the body (where do you feel this new identity?)

Phase 7: Embodied Action

Purpose: Anchor the transformation through immediate action.

  • Ask: What is one small action I can take today that embodies this new identity?
  • Make it specific, measurable, and achievable within 24 hours
  • Commit to it out loud or in writing
  • Do it, then notice how it feels
  • Repeat with progressively bigger actions

Thank your body for showing you.

The power is in the precision. Each step creates a neurological shift that compounds with the next. The entire process takes about 15 minutes, but the results can last a lifetime.
